- Chat text is stored on your site with a random anonymous id, and deleted after the number of days you set (default 90).
- Email addresses, phone numbers and long digit strings in questions are masked before saving or sending to AI.
- Messages left through the form keep the visitor’s name, email and message. WordPress’s Export / Erase Personal Data tools find them by email address, and a suggested paragraph appears in the privacy policy helper.
- Visitor details answers have their own retention and are covered by the same tools. See Submissions, CSV and privacy.
- With AI on, masked questions, recent messages and page summaries go to Anthropic. Mention that in your privacy policy.
- Questions and form answers are never sent to Google Analytics.
- Uninstalling deletes the Q&A list and the log, so export your Q&A first.
