Plans and requirements
Site Mascot 2.4.0 requires single-site WordPress 6.4 or later, PHP 8.1 or later with OpenSSL, and HTTPS access to Stardetha One. Monthly: R5,000 for 30 days. Annual: R15,000 for 365 days. Both include the same features and one website activation. Renewals are manual; additional websites require additional paid licences. Optional Anthropic usage uses your own API key and is billed separately by the provider.
Activate
- Install and activate the Site Mascot ZIP.
- Open Site Mascot → Licence. Production is preconfigured.
- Paste the licence from your Stardetha One customer account and select Activate licence.
- Confirm Active, then clear your website/page cache.
Expiry and outages
Expiry pauses the public mascot, visitor chat, feedback, intake and provider calls. It preserves saved settings, mascot profiles, Q&A and conversation records. Temporary service outages allow only the remaining verified signed-cache period; access never extends beyond the licence term. An already-open page hides its mascot at that signed deadline. A server rejection takes effect when checked; hourly WP-Cron depends on site traffic. Use Check now to refresh immediately.
Renew or move
Renew through your customer account and check the licence again. If a purchase issues a new key, disconnect the old licence before activating it. To move a licence, disconnect on the old site first and confirm the slot was released. A network failure disables local access immediately and leaves release pending for retry. Copying a database is not a supported transfer; encrypted installation credentials are bound to the WordPress salts and website.
Updates and deletion
Authorized updates are delivered through WordPress using Stardetha One with package integrity verification. Disconnect before deleting the plugin. Deactivation preserves data but does not release a slot automatically. Deleting the plugin runs its existing uninstall cleanup and removes plugin settings, records and managed media. Export and back up first.
Staging
Administrators can choose Staging / sandbox in Licence settings and paste the staging public key. Only use BEGIN PUBLIC KEY, never a private key. Disconnect before switching services. The production key is already included.
