Customer installation

Install 0.24.3, activate a live licence and preserve staging or legacy overrides.

Install and activate

1. In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
2. Upload instant-language-switcher-v0.24.3.zip and activate it. For an existing installation, approve replacement of the installed version after taking a backup. Do not uninstall it.
3. Open Instant Languages → License, enter your purchased Stardetha One licence key and activate.
4. Confirm Active, environment live, the licensed site and your plan grants.
5. Configure your translation provider credentials and target languages. A licence does not include a Google/DeepL API key or provider billing.

The customer package defaults to https://one.stardetha.com, environment live, and the production RSA public key supplied by the operator. Customers do not need to edit wp-config.php. No private key, payment credential, customer licence, database or wp-config.php is included.

Requirements: WordPress 6.4+, PHP 8.1+, OpenSSL, single-site WordPress, and a public HTTPS site on port 443. The licensing server remains on PHP 8.3+.

Existing staging and custom installations

A complete wp-config.php override of IST_ONE_SERVER_URL, IST_ONE_ENVIRONMENT and IST_ONE_PUBLIC_KEY is preserved. Define IST_LICENSE_BACKEND as one for One mode. If any of the three trust settings is supplied, all three must be supplied: incomplete overrides fail closed. The production key is never downloaded from the configured server.

The existing ILS staging site remains connected to its sandbox service when upgraded with its restored configuration. Do not remove those overrides to test this package. For a production check, use a disposable HTTPS WordPress installation without licence constants and a valid live licence. The previous one-day live test licence is short-lived and its plan is disabled for new purchases.

Existing legacy customers must set define('IST_LICENSE_BACKEND', 'legacy'); in wp-config.php before upgrading if they want to remain on the legacy service. Without that explicit choice, 0.24.3 selects One. Legacy keys and purchased entitlements are not automatically migrated. Invalid backend values fail closed.

Disconnect and confirm slot release before changing service/key/environment. Reset local connection does not release a remote slot. Published translations and settings are preserved by the upgrade and remain available on licence expiry. Online authorization is required for new automatic translation batches.

Release scope and acceptance

Only the distribution defaults and version/documentation are changed from 0.24.2. No schema, translation engine, metering protocol, signature verification or update authorization changes.

Production acceptance on 0.24.2 confirmed live PayFast payment, licence issuance/retrieval, WordPress activation, signed grants, 942/1000 authorized characters, quota rejection and recovery after returning to sandbox. These observations do not claim a native WordPress acceptance run for 0.24.3: test the packaged upgrade on staging before customer distribution.

Import 0.24.3 as a new release; do not replace the already-published 0.24.2 ZIP. The outer customer bundle is not an installable plugin ZIP. The documentation plugin is optional and is installed separately.
