Stardetha Licensing Manager

Store-side dashboard, tests, release registry and health endpoint.

Backend scope (v0.24.3): Stardetha One is the customer default; legacy mode requires an explicit IST_LICENSE_BACKEND=legacy override. The legacy behavior below does not describe Stardetha One. For One configuration, strict signature checks, a maximum 72-hour signed lifetime, target-language/memory grants, online character authorization, and licensed package updates, see Stardetha One Integration.

Legacy licensing backend

Stardetha Licensing Manager v1.1.0 is Stardetha's standalone commercial licensing server for WordPress software products. It does not require Easy Digital Downloads or WooCommerce.

Main administration areas

• Dashboard — active licenses, sites, customers, paid orders and releases.
• Products & Plans — activation limits, duration, price, currency and status.
• Licenses — create manual/test licenses, mask keys in admin and change license status.
• Orders — records normalized paid orders received from the payment integration.
• Releases — validate, hash and publish plugin ZIPs for automatic updates.
• Payment Integration — signed webhook endpoint and secret.
• Logs — licensing, activation, payment and update audit events.
• Settings — company/support/docs/portal URLs, grace period and secure-download token lifetime.

Data model

The server owns dedicated tables for products, plans, customers, orders, licenses, activations, releases and logs. License lookups use a keyed hash; a recoverable encrypted copy is retained so an authenticated customer portal can display the purchased key.

License responses

The server signs response payloads using Ed25519 when PHP Sodium is available, otherwise RSA/OpenSSL when available. /public-key exposes only the public verification key and key ID.

Updates

Release ZIPs are not published as permanent open URLs. Entitled clients receive short-lived signed download tokens after /updates/check validates both the license and installation activation.
