Staging Update Checklist

Verify a real WordPress update from 0.24.1 to 0.24.2 through Stardetha One.

1. Confirm the current installed ILS version. This test assumes 0.24.1 and a connected, active One sandbox license.
2. Back up the WordPress database and complete files, including wp-config.php and salts. A Stardetha One service backup is not a WordPress backup. Retain the reviewed 0.24.1 ZIP for rollback. Do not uninstall ILS.
3. Record the license expiry, activation slot, monthly usage, language list/order, provider selection and an existing translated page. Avoid new automatic translation batches during the comparison.
4. Transfer instant-language-switcher-v0.24.3.zip to the private One domain directory (outside public_html).
5. From the One application directory run releases:import with product instant-language-switcher, version 0.24.3 and the absolute plugin ZIP path. Save the release UUID and hash. Release imports are product-wide, not sandbox-only; they become eligible for all active licenses for that product on this One service. Confirm this is the staging service before importing. Do not import the outer bundle or docs ZIP. Imported version bytes are immutable.
6. On ils-staging.stardetha.com, use Instant Language Switcher > License > Check now / retry release to refresh signed access. Then Dashboard > Updates > Check again. Keep ILS active.
7. Confirm version 0.24.3 is offered, then update ILS using WordPress's update control. Do not use Upload Plugin for this acceptance test: the goal is the One delivery path.
8. Confirm Plugins and the License screen show 0.24.3, the license remains active, its expiry is unchanged, and settings and the existing translated page are intact. The License screen now explains that One updates appear through WordPress.
9. Check the site frontend and wp-admin for errors. Record the update result and final version. Stop if verification or download fails and retain the exact error.

Exact staging import command (after WordPress backup)

Run in Hostinger SSH, from /home/u909358941/domains/one-staging.stardetha.com/stardetha-one:

php artisan releases:import instant-language-switcher 0.24.3 /home/u909358941/domains/one-staging.stardetha.com/instant-language-switcher-v0.24.3.zip

The importer prints the release UUID and SHA-256. Compare the ZIP hash against SHA256SUMS.txt from this bundle. No credentials or private keys belong in the upload package.

Recovery

If the release is defective, use php artisan releases:withdraw followed by its exact returned UUID. Withdrawal stops new authorizations but does not downgrade installed sites. Restore reviewed 0.24.1 files or the WordPress backup as appropriate; do not uninstall or regenerate salts/keys. A corrected forward release needs a new version number.
